Asus Unveils Business Friendly 3G -Enabled Pocket PC Phone

Last year Asus unveiled a candy-bar style GPS-enabled Pocket PC Phone that had a lot going for it, except for the omission of a 3G radio. This week the company announced what can only be viewed as an upgrade to the P535, the P735. This smartphone integrates high-speed cellular networking courtesy of UMTS. However, it lacks GPS. You can't have everything it seems.

The P735 is also a candy-bar phone, except it is tablet-style, as the smartphone drops the P535's hard numeric keypad for on-screen dialing. There are navigation controls underneath the display.

Specifications include a 520 MHz Marvell Xscale processor, 256 MB of flash memory, 64 MB of RAM, a miniSD expansion slot, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery, and a 2.8-inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) display.

ASUS Launches Attractive P735 Smartphone

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer ASUS has released an attractive new Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition device called the P735, featuring a broad range of connectivity options in a relatively small package. Complete with 3G data and a brushed metal face, the ASUS P735 has the brains to back up its looks.

The feature list of the ASUS P735 begins with tri-band GSM and UMTS for high-speed data, which the P735 makes full use of with a front facing VGA camera for video conferencing. The low resolution forward facing camera complements a 2.0 megapixel sensor with auto focus on the back, which can be used for business card recognition to allow easy entry of data in the handset's contacts list. Bluetooth 2.0 is present, and works with the ASUS Remote Presenter software, allowing you to control PowerPoint presentations on a notebook computer - even showing slide notes on the device while presenting.

ASUS Introduces P735 Candy Bar Phone

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. has introduced the P735 candy bar phone that allows users to make full use of its 3G capabilities and integrates network connectivity, video conferencing, multimedia applications and many other business functions.

With the P735, ASUS said that no matter where the user is globally, they can always access the information needed for informed business decisions while keeping total control over their personal life on the go.
