Nokia starts 'broadest' price drop
Nokia has made its broadest price drop ever, according to distribution sources. Prices have been cut on 43 handsets, which accounts for almost the entire UK range. Most handsets have been reduced by around 10%. The popular 6021 is down from 54 to 50, the 6233 has had 15 slashed from its original price of 139 and the N73 has been cut from 229 to 211. The price drops came into effect on Monday.'In the eight years I have been working with Nokia, I have never known them to drop the price on much more than ten handsets at a time,' said one source at a major handset distributor.Nokia says the price cuts are to 'clear a space' for newer models, such as the N95 due in March. 'We tend to use this time to adjust the pricing model, firstly, because it helps the channel, and secondly, because it starts to clear a space in the range for the newer models,' said a spokesman. The move has left some handset distributors worried.
Nokia 6151, 6233 Offer 3G in Everyday Packages
Talk about a contradiction of elements. On the one hand, the Nokia 6151 and 6233 look like some rather budget-minded candybars. On the other hand, they rock high-speed 3G connectivity. So, they're powerful but they don't look the part. I guess that makes them perfect for people that like to blend in with the crowd, rather than stick out from it. The Nokia 6151 (top) comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, a large dial-friendly keypad, Push-to-Talk, and 3G. It's not slim, but it's got just a touch of a chrome accent for a little personality. The Nokia 6233 (bottom) is even more non-assuming. The buttons are little more bulbous, protruding from the handset for excellent no-look dialing. It is more powerful than its 6151 cousin, however, as the 6233 rocks stereo speakers, a 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, FM radio, integrated MP3 player, and a spam filter function.

Is this phone ok?
I'm looking at getting a new phone and I'm thinking I might get the Nokia 6233. I've had mostly Nokia phones in the past and I like the UI and know it well. Basically I'm just wanting to know if this phone is ok and if anyone knows of a reason I shouldn't get it? I've read a couple of reviews which rated it quite well. Also, is there perhaps a phone thats not that much more expensive but is a fair bit better? Cheers
I need to buy a good phone for upto ...
I need to buy a good phone for upto 13K. I had zeroed in to Nokia 6270 with 1GB, but I read that it has a lot of software problems. Also I did not like Nokia 6233 very much. I want a stylish as well as a phone which has features of atleast 6270. (I wanted to go for Nokia especially because of the FM radio in higher end phones too). Also I have heard that there are lot of problems with Sony Erricsson batteries and chargers. Is this true?
Can you please advice as to which is the best phone I can buy for upto 13K in Pune?
