Nokia offer YouTube video to the N95

The Nokia N95 just keeps getting better and better. Nokia have just been discussing a new YouTube application offering RSS feeds of the latest videos straight to the N95.

Apparently the system will not use the browser on the N95, relying instead on a Nokia Video Center application. In future the system will be available on all Nokia phones running the S60 platform.

The application will be accesible via a dedicated button and will also offer Reuters news.

Attachment viewing, printing, and faxing for Symbian phones

Mobile enterprise computing experts ThinPrint will be presenting their Cortado Premium services for Symbian phones and Windows mobile for the first time, at the 3GSM in Barcelona (Hall 2, Stand 2,1D55, 1st floor). Individual handheld users can book services now at www.cortado.com.

These services can be used for viewing documents, e.g email attachments, on a display, without prior download, or for sending them directly from a handheld to a printer, fax machine, or a laptop screen. The Cortado Shortfax function allows users to compose and send faxes whilst on the go. Cortado Premium Services cost 7.98 Euro each per month, and are also available for a 10-day, no obligation, trial period. The services can be selectively used with the user's own email account or a Push email account hosted by Cortado.

Sony Ericsson launches four entry-level handsets - K200, K220 ...

Sony Ericsson has four new candy bar handsets on the market, aimed very much at those who just want the basics for a budget price - the K200, K220, J120 and J110.

The K200 is a camera phone - but with a very basic VGA camera. The camera and the on-board photo album are accessible with just one click, with enough included memory to store around 40 snaps. There's one-touch access for your phone book (which can store up to 300 contacts) and a talk time of 8 hours. It should be available in the second quarter of 2007 in either Metallic Black or Light Champagne. The K220 is similar, but adds an integrated FM radio with RDS and 10 pre-set stations. You can also use it as a radio alarm clock. Again available in the second quarter, this time in a choice of Frost White or Ocean Blue.

The J110 is a 'back to basics' phone with large, legible keys and one-click access to commonly used features such as the text message menu, ring volume and alarm clock.

Motorola Debuts New Low, High End Phones

Motorola introduced several new phones on Monday at the 3GSM Conference in Barcelona, including a new line aimed at emerging markets, and a slider that opens in a curve to match the contour of the user's face.

The Motomobile line, to debut over the first half of this year, will include functionality such as a megapixel camera with video capabilities, music player functionality, and CrystalTalk, a technology aimed at assisting the user in placing calls in noisy environments.
