Is That a TV In Your Pocket? - Samsung F510

These days it's all about content on the go. Music, news, TV, you name it. Samsung has been working hard on an update to their Ultra Video F500 so that you can get the best in mobile TV.

Their new F510 has quite a few new features over their old F500. One of the biggest new features is it's ability to play DivX files. This will make it the first phone to have such capabilities. You can also swivel the phone around so that it can stand freely, allowing you to watch your video without holding on to it.

I'm on the road a lot, and I can view some media content on my phone, but I just can't get myself excited about watching media on such a small screen. Although, with a 2.4" screen, the Samsung F510 might be worth looking at.

Review: Samsung SGH-F510

Today here at 3GSM in Barcelona, Samsung announced an update to the F500 "Ultra TV" handset they showed at CES. The new model, the SGH-F510, is basically the same as the original except for the addition of support for Europe's DMB-H digital broadcast TV specification.

The F510 sports a unique design that includes a middle swivel as well as displays and controls on both sides of the candy bar shape. The one side, with the smaller display and alphanumeric keypad, is meant for making phone calls and sending text messages. The other side, with the large 262k color QVGA resolution display, is meant for watching TV programs. The swivel allows the F510 user to configure the device so that it acts as its own stand. It also allows the TV antenna to be cleverly hidden away when not needed.-gadgets
