Sony Ericsson J120

Sony Ericsson launches four entry-level handsets - K200, K220 ...

Sony Ericsson has four new candy bar handsets on the market, aimed very much at those who just want the basics for a budget price - the K200, K220, J120 and J110.

The K200 is a camera phone - but with a very basic VGA camera. The camera and the on-board photo album are accessible with just one click, with enough included memory to store around 40 snaps. There's one-touch access for your phone book (which can store up to 300 contacts) and a talk time of 8 hours. It should be available in the second quarter of 2007 in either Metallic Black or Light Champagne. The K220 is similar, but adds an integrated FM radio with RDS and 10 pre-set stations. You can also use it as a radio alarm clock. Again available in the second quarter, this time in a choice of Frost White or Ocean Blue.

The J110 is a 'back to basics' phone with large, legible keys and one-click access to commonly used features such as the text message menu, ring volume and alarm clock.

Sony Ericsson also announced four low-end candybar mobile phones, besides new premium phones in their Walkman and Cyber-shot lines today.

The Sony Ericsson K220 features a VGA camera, slideshow view, stores up to 40 images on 2MB internal memory, and has FM radio with RDS. The K220 comes in Frost White or Ocean Blue. The K220 will be available in selected from Q2 2007.

The K200 lacks the FM radio. Availability of the K200 will be from Q2 2007 in selected markets in either Metallic Black or Light Champagne.
The J120 is a no frills candybar with FM radio. The J110 does not have the radio. Both phones have no camera.
The J120 and J110 will be available in selected markets from Q2 2007.
At least Sony Ericsson spiced up this low-end phone a bit by providing a gadget model photo (above) so we have a reason to write about these new phones.

Basic Sony Ericsson J120 dishes out an FM radio

The entry-level candy bar ups the ante from its sibling, the J110, by adding a FM radio to its specs.

The Sony Ericsson J120 budget handset features an unassuming design in basic black, and an even simpler form factor as a classic candy bar. However, its simple style resembles some of its high-end Walkman brethren, such as the W800i and the W610.

Even though the J120 doesn't have a packed feature set like Sony Ericsson's Walkman lineup, it's an upgrade to the recently announced J110. Like the J110, Sony Ericsson will include an easy-to-use icon interface in the J120, but takes it one step further by adding FM radio. Music lovers will be able to store 10 radio stations in the handset, and enjoy them on the bundled stereo headset or the phones loudspeaker, which doubles as a speakerphone.

Sony Ericsson announces K200, K220, J110 and J120

Sony Ericsson has announced four new 'candy bar' phones that make it simple to stay in touch. Of the four, the K200 and K220 are both camera phones, whilst the K220 again and the J120 bring music into an affordable segment with integrated FM Radios, complete with headsets. All four, including the J110, display Sony Ericssons signature styling and premium feel, yet manage to keep simplicity and ease-of-use at the heart of their design.

K200

The K200 is all about having a camera on your phone just when you need it.

The VGA camera and photo album are immediately accessible with just one click on the dedicated button. Given that the K200 has a slideshow view and will store up to 40 images, it’s easy for users to view their pictures in full screen and share them with friends.
